Those who believe that if, in last case, it's necessary to go to the war, it must be for important, serious, justified and truthful reasons and with the shelter of the international community.

Those who believe and work for cosmopolitans communities, calm and safe, where the different races and cultures live together in peace.

Those who believe and work for a world without discrimination for race, age, sex or religion where everybody is equal, with the same rights (and obligations): homosexuals, inmigrants...

Those that travel with an open mind, knowing other cultures, respecting them and learning. To those that travel through the books, films, pictures, and songs or any form of artistic expression, enriching their values of honesty, respect, liberty and love to the others.

Those who go to the museums, libraries, cinemas, bookshops, concerts or exposures and learn to look the world with shining eyes and pure hearts.

Those that work decently, that live (with cultural worries or not, political or not, religious or not) and help the others in the name of love and never in the name of god in that hypocrite way of the evangelical and islamic fundamentalists.

Those that belive that theses no hope in the war, in the hate, in the interested medios, in politics moved for religious an economical interests, in owners of the supreme truth (¿!g.w.bush is the only that can defend the occidental world and our way of life?!...and his method is !!the war!!?¿?!...)

Have we learned nothing from Chamberlin? Are we to lay on our backs and refuse to appreciate the gravity of our situation? Or perhaps we will regress into moral equivalancy or Orwellian doublespeak.

Luckily the American public did not fall for the lack of moral courage that is a scourge in Old Europe. One day we shall see eye to eye again. However, when your leaders would rather meet with Arafat than the current leader in Iraq, what is to be done except a shaking of one's head or the rolling of one's eyes.

We will not let our civilization fall by the wayside. Liberty will remain our birthright.

thnaks for your post on my blog - not sure it was really relevent to my article. Nevertheless I fully agree with you that from a european perspective Bush was a very bad result. What is also worrying is the he represents a large section of the american people who appear to believe that fundamental puritanical christianity with all its baggage of intloerance, bigotry and hatred is a good way to deal with the rest of the world as well as their own people. Very very scary.
